Where To Stay In And Around Split

Trogir | Okrug Gornji

We will be staying just outside of Trogir, near Okrug Gornji. These towns are located approximately 25- to 30-minutes away from the wedding venue. Okrug Gornji is a quieter town in comparison to Split and offers larger villas with beach access and pools, which are typically not as available in Split, Trogir, or the Kastelas. You can stay within the walls of Trogir but will likely only find one- or two-bedroom apartments.

We recommend booking accommodations via Airbnb or at one of the many local hotels/hostels. We will update the website with hotel recommendations in early 2025.

Split Metro | Old Town Split

Old Town Split is a 5- to 10-minute drive, or 30-minute walk to the wedding venue. If staying in or near Old Town, you will also need to acquire transportation to Trogir for the welcome party, which is about 25-30 minutes away. Staying in the walls of the Old Town will enable you to be truly immersed in the Old Town atmosphere. However, since it is a bustling location with lots of restaurants, shops and bars, you are likely to hear noise late into the evening. You can also stay close to the Old Town in Split and easily walk over.

The Kastelas

Of the seven Kastel towns, or “fortresses”, located between Trogir and Old Town, our top recommendations are (1) Kastel Novi, (2) Kastel Luksic, (3) Kastel Sucurac and (4) Kastel Gomilica. These quaint towns have restaurants, bars and quiet beaches. Though, when booking, be sure to look closer to the coast, below the main freeway. These towns are located perfectly between Trogir and Split/the venue, taking about 15 minutes to reach either location.
